We believe this is Lucas' largest separate map of Baltimore. Papenfuse illustrates editions of 1822, 1836 and 1841. This 1852 issue may be the last (Ristow). It is interesting to note that the copyright has been renewed to 1852, indicating that Lucas was still active as a map publisher. Full color. Map is dissected into 18 sections, edged in green silk, and mounted on linen. Folds with marbled end sheets into a new mint green cloth folding case 19.5x13 with "Baltimore F. Lucas 1852" stamped in gold on the spine.
