Description:
The early cassock ends just above the knees. Sleeves end at the elbow. Close set buttons and buttonholes extend all the way down the center front. Pockets are placed near the hem. Over the cassock is a large diagonal sash, an indication of status. These breeches are a full bloused pantaloon, typically decorated with ribbon loops (artist unknown; collection of Marchesa de Castel Maurigi, Florence)
