Speaker unusual, the motion of the rear thumb-lever being conveyed to front key by a ring mechanism concealed by a silver band; the tone holes have integral wood seatings: the two blocks of long keys for L4 are lined with silver and have a silver `saddle' carrying the central duplicate E♭ key; ferrules ivory, half-round on bell and lower section, tapered with rim on barrel; thumb|rest ivory, shaped, screwed to body. Little-finger key swelling fusiform; leaf springs; diagonally-mounted duplicate lever under L4 opens the E♭₄/B♭₅ cross-key; duplicate key under L4 gives an alternative G♯₃/E♭₅; side key under R3 (or R4) for B♮₃/F♯₅.
