First Air France poster made by Boucher. Air France world map, backed with heavy paper and linen, illustrated by Lucien Boucher, printed by Perceval in 1934, only a year after the Air France opening. Shows the world in purple and red depicts route maps with white lines and dots, advertising Air France service to Europe, Africa, South America, the Middle East, Indian, and Southeast Asia. Small drawings throughout represent destinations with monuments, genre scenes or animals. An elaborate compass is at upper left, title at lower right, enclosed within a decorative rectangle cartouche. A gold border surrounds the entire map. Some text in gold and black are enclosed within a decorative rectangle.
