Note
The map shows the Exposition grounds in printed color, and the text on the verso gives some interesting facts: at 1240 areas, this was the largest world fair to date; exhibits included "cane used by Benjamin Franklin, Battle Monument, Baltimore, in canned goods, Statue of Miss Louisiana in sugar, Wireless telephone station in operation, and Fanatic desert tribes of Morocco," plus of course many others totaling "twelve thousand carloads of exhibits." Folded into red card board covers 12.5x7 with "Map And Guide Of World's Fair Grounds Saint Louis, 1904. Published By Buxton & Skinner Stationery Company Fourth and Olive Streets Saint Louis Price 10 Cents" printed in black. Full printed color.

Note
The three map are fairly standard products of the period, but the combination of the maps, advertisements and text make this a particularly attractive guide. Includes a "Diagram of the St. Louis Fair Grounds," one of the largest annual fairs in the mid west. Folded into beige card board covers 18x12 printed with the same title as the guide book cover page.
