Description
S72-37001 (25 April 1972) --- Astronaut Thomas K. Mattingly II, command module pilot, performs an Extravehicular Activity (EVA) during the Apollo 16 trans-Earth coast. Mattingly is assisted by astronaut Charles M. Duke, Jr., lunar module pilot. Mattingly inspected the SIM Bay or Service Module (SM), and retrieved film from the Mapping and Panoramic Cameras. Mattingly is wearing the helmet of astronaut John W. Young, commander. The helmet?s lunar EVA visor assembly helped protect Mattingly?s eyes from the bright Sun. This view is a frame from motion picture film exposed by a 16mm Maurer camera.

JSC2004-E-40296 (3 September 2004) --- Flight Director John Curry (left) and Ginger Kerrick, one of the Sim Test Leads doubling as spacecraft communicator (CAPCOM), monitor data at their consoles in the shuttle flight control room (WFCR) in Houston?s Mission Control Center (MCC) during the fourth and final session of Expedition 9 extravehicular activities (EVA).

JSC2003-E-59330 (20 October 2003) --- Flight Director Jeff Hanley (right) and Ginger Kerrick, one of the Sim Test Leads doubling as spacecraft communicator (CAPCOM), obtain new data at their consoles in the station flight control room (BFCR) in Johnson Space Center?s (JSC) Mission Control Center (MCC). This photo was taken during rendezvous and docking operations between the Soyuz TMA-3 spacecraft and the International Space Station (ISS). The Soyuz, which carried astronaut C. Michael Foale, Expedition 8 mission commander and NASA ISS science officer; cosmonaut Alexander Y. Kaleri, Soyuz commander and flight engineer representing Rosaviakosmos; and European Space Agency (ESA) astronaut Pedro Duque of Spain, docked with the station at 2:16 a.m. (CDT) on October 20, 2003.
