Designed and produced by Zero Per Zero, inspired by the shape of heart from Milton Glaser's "I love NY" logo. Famous landmarks and tourist attractions are incorporated into the map, creating a sense of New York City as a tourist spot. Zero Per Zero City Railway System is a new approach to projecting the identity of a city onto its subway map. Showing boroughs of New York, streets, parks, cemetery, tourist attractions, train stations, airports, express and normal trains. Landmarks shown pictorially. Includes legend and street index. Color map of London subway system, on sheet 15.5x22.5, folded into 16x7.5. Final edition of map designed by Hans Schleger, with all color from 1939 edition removed due to wartime, printed in brown and blue only. Beck's underground maps had been published in 1932. In 1938 Beck's design was used in a from of card folder, designed by Hans Schleger, published in 1938, 1939 and 1941. Although the map maintained all the elements of the Beck's circuit approach but with distinctive modification with blue-green background intended to highlight the central area, shows early sign of zoning, and absence of the iconic Underground logo on the map. On verso: 4 maps showing the places of interest.

In 1938 Beck's design was altered by Hans Schleger, and this new design was published in 1938, 1939 and 1941. The map maintained all the elements of the Beck's circuit approach but with distinctive modification with blue-green background intended to highlight the central area.
