2nd edition, the first with a map (27x22). 1st edition was 1827, Charleston, without a map. Editions published to 1860. The map is engraved by Wm. W. Warr of Philadelphia, who also engraved for Tanner. The map appears to be original for this book, although it is similar to the Lucas map for the American Atlas of 1822, but more up to date. With an appendix of biographical sketches, routes, etc. and the errata slip at the end. A small map included in the text entitled, "Plan of Milledgeville." Bound with half-leather and "Sherwood's Gazetteer" printed on the spine in gold.
