1st edition 1859; this copy is the second issue. Large map of the state with numerous inset plans of towns, an inset Geological Map of the State of Vermont by Albert D. Hager, 1859, population statistics from the 1850 census, lists of subscriber's names (extensive), and views of the National and State capital buildings. This seems to be the same as the 1859 issue other than the date and the number of insets - 43 vs 31, and the arrangement of the insets, state map and subscribers list. Cobb 329 is another edition also by Walling but published by Hager in 1860, with population statistics from the 1850 and 1860 census. This is a beautifully drawn and highly detailed state map. Insets of 43 town and city maps.
