The map surrounded by various motifs and emblems relating to each region, illustrations relating to the production of wine such as wine barrels and vines, as well as pictures of local peoples in traditional provincial clothing. Date estimated. The poster was commissioned by the Comite National de Propagande en Faveur du Vin, a government agency that promoted the French wine industry. It advertised French wines as well as tourism to these areas. At the bottom of map "D. Collin & Fils - Huy." Remy Hetreau was a French artist, printmaker, illustrator and designer. He was known for his etchings and engravings and illustrated numerous books. 1-1 of 1
