Pictorial map of Canada. Postwar revision of a map by Turner and published by C.C. Petersen in 1944, titled Canada at War, a promotional poster produced for Lipton's Tea, see #8258.000. Map decorated with small illustrations and eleven black-and-white photographic images provided by the Canadian Pacific Railway. The illustrations depict landmarks, buildings, people, animals, airplanes in flight, ships in the oceans, and icebergs in the Arctic Ocean and Baffin Bay. Shows Canadian provinces, rivers, and towns, and portions of the neighboring United States and Greenland. The cartouche shows the Canadian seal and a mileage scale. Includes notes on dated events, legend and compass rose at the center.
